CHIEF FEATURES
A western disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan region during 9th-11th and adjoining northern plains during 10th to 11th February.
The minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-4°C over parts of Uttrakhand, southeast Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, south Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka. These are near normal over west Rajasthan and indo-Gangetic plains.
The current meteorological analysis and numerical weather prediction models suggest that the minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 1-2°C during next 24 hours and increase by 2-3°C during 10th-11th February over northwest and adjoining central India.

NORTHWEST INDIA
[J & K, H. P., UTTARAKHAND, DELHI, PUNJAB, HARYANA, WEST UP]
Rain/snow is likely at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on 9th and at many places thereafter.
Rain/snow is likely at many places over Uttrakhand from 10th onwards.
Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places over Punjab, Haryana including Chandigarh & Delhi after 48 hours.
Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely over the rest region after 48 hours.
EAST INDIA
[EAST UP, BIHAR, JHARKHAND, WEST BENGAL & SIKKIM, ORISSA]
Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
NORTHEAST INDIA
[Arunachal Pradesh, NMM &T, Assam, Meghalaya,]
Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
SOUTH INDIA
[TN, AP, KERALA, KARNATAKA, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS, LAKSHADWEEP]
Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places over Tamilnadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Nicobar Islands.
Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
WEST INDIA
